We all have Super Powers
Going with the flow, listening to your heart, Higher Self or Spirit Team, the Universe are all different ways of saying the same thing. If you didn’t already know we all have psychic abilities. Some of us are tuned in and turned on, and some of us are afraid of our own power or just don’t know. I’m here to tell you that you are that—you are magical.
When we become more open to something that our two eyes can’t see, it helps us to navigate these challenging and changing times. I’ll give you an example of how intuition and extra sensory abilities help us navigate life’s rollercoaster ride.
And don’t feel too bad for me. I’m okay. My father passed away on March 3rd at 11 PM. That night I woke at 10 pm and didn’t return to sleep. My younger daughter woke as well around that time and ended up sleeping with us. She was cute and taking up all my side of the bed, so I came out into what we call the yoga room, paly room, Nana and Pop Pops room (when they visit because there is a Murphy bed in the wall). I rested, I breathed, and I didn’t sleep in the yoga hammock. I knew before my brother called that my father had passed.
Two months prior I had the urge to quit the last few yoga/fitness classes I was teaching. To clear my schedule and get ready for something. I didn’t know at the time what that something was. Now I do and I’m grateful that I listened to my Higher Self. I wasn’t just clearing the way for time to mourn. I cleared the way for time to heal. I didn’t just clear the way for time to mourn and heal. I cleared the way for a new different way of living.
I’ve been booking out more Intuitive Healing Sessions, which are part Mediumship, part Spirit, part Reiki/Source Healing. So, the less time running to studios has been nice. I miss my regular schedule and yes, I do feel a little lost in the void and I’m also happy to be doing things I love with the people I love.
Back to my dad: I was able to drive four hours to see him and say good-bye about nine days before he passed. (I am so grateful to you John for driving me up there and back in the same day. Thank you.) I looked my dad in his eyes and placed my hand on his forearm and I said, “I want you to know you are loved. I don’t think you heard that enough in this lifetime. And you need to hear it.” I played and sang Amazing Grace, which is his favorite hymn with tears strolling down my face as he fell in and out of consciousness.
My father had a difficult childhood. Not one adult in his life told him he was innately good. That he didn’t have to chase anything or do anything to prove that he had a right to exist here on this Earth. His parents grew up during the great depression. They grew up in lack mentality. There was little joy in his home life growing up. He became a narcissist. I forgive him for the childhood of mental and physical abuse that I endured. I forgive him because he was only doing what had been done to him.
No more running. No more working too hard or donating my time and energy for free. No more. I am enough. When I sat in his hospital room with my Ukulele around my neck, I spoke to him telepathically and I told him to go to the towards the light when he is ready and to not be afraid. I told him to go towards the Unconditional Love that he disserves. And when he went—he did! It was so beautiful.
Many Blessings to you,
Sarah Rose Reilly
The Gift of the Void
“You must let go of who you were to become someone new.”Is the opening line of my new memoir, which I am currently beginning, and that line is all I have written thus far. Lots of empty space on the page. I’m in the void. I know how a tiny vulnerable seed feels when it is pressed into the dark Earth and asked to grow fruit. What I need to remember about this dark space is that one, it is a nutrient dense place created by chicken poop and compost of garbage and table scraps. And oh, Great Goddess, have I been through some crap.In this lifetime thus far, I have also experienced great joy and right now I am in a giddy laughter phase with my children. We are trying to out funny each other and my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing and making memories with them. I went running with my husband this weekend and I’m a yogi, so that sort of thing isn’t my favorite. Give me a mat and an hour and I’ll work it all out. But I ran for three miles, and it felt invigorating and I’m going to do it again. Who knew? I didn’t.Number two, I need to remember that in this unknown we can become something new, and it can be exciting and fun. We can keep surprising ourselves. Number three and most importantly have fun! The message that I receive from Spirit repeatedly is to enjoy life. To experience Heaven on Earth, while you are living on it. I hope that you do that. Blessings to you all!
Self-Care for Light workers
Hello Beautiful Lightworker! If you are like me and you are if you are reading this. You are here on Earth currently to help. I appreciate you and I know how hard you work. Even in your sleep! Yes, in your sleep you leave your body to work as a Death Doula to carry stuck souls here on Earth back to Spirit. You also go to ‘Universal Earth School,’ to learn the next steps and messages that we need to do to continue to support Earth’s collective ascension.
In the daytime your light shines out of your eyes and heart and heals and replenishes those who’s paths your cross. You don’t even need to talk to them. You heal the Earth and Gaia loves and thanks you. This is a lot of work and with working a double shift, self-care is important.
Self-care is free. Just like love is free. It doesn’t cost a thing. How do you self-soothe, self-care, and love yourself. Any way that you need. This fast world we live in sells us that if you aren’t working hard, you are lazy and not contributing. You need to purchase an expensive coffee or supplement or take pharmaceuticals and ingest chemicals to keep your brain alert and on top.
Not true you say! Good job. You love yourself by napping when you need rest—not caffeine! You take a moment in nature to be and breathe. You connect with like-minded hearts and souls, so you feel less alone. I urge you to keep taking care of your human so you may continue to do the double duty that you do so well.
Blessings,
Sarah
Love & Prayer
Love is our birth right. We all come from the same love and return to love. Here on Earth, it is more difficult to feel the vibration; however, the love frequency is coming in. More on that later.
Lately my morning meditation isn’t as peaceful. I’m healing a lot right now and letting go of lower frequencies and even old beliefs that no longer serve me. I’m becoming liberated and even lighter and freer. It is both liberating and difficult.
In one of my many notebooks that I keep. I have songs, poems, and yes, the Metta Prayer of Loving Kindness. This prayer has been soothing and healing as I ascend. I welcome you to use it and write it down even in your own words that may differ from what I have below.
What I have learned is that forgiveness is that last step to liberation for many of us. When we forgive ourselves or others for deep harm and hurt, we can move away from anger/fear which are lower levels of frequency and rise higher and higher in the unconditional love frequency of Universal Source. It isn’t easy work to forgive. The repetition of the Metta Prayer helps you to chip away at it and eventually let it go. Say three rounds for yourself, three rounds for a person who you may need to forgive, and three rounds for everyone everywhere. Here it is:
Metta Prayer:
May I be safe,
May I be healthy,
May I be happy,
May all being have happiness, contentment, and live free.
May you be safe,
May you be healthy,
May you be happy,
May all beings have happiness, contentment, and live free.
May all beings be safe,
May all beings be healthy,
May all beings be happy,
May all beings everywhere have happiness, contentment, and live free.
Intention Setting
Happy New Year. Yes, I’ll be saying that to you until 2025. Let’s talk about intention and intention setting and what you want more of this year. First what do you still need to let go of. Are you holding on to some old beliefs or energy from last year, 2023?
To let go of that old energy write a list of the things you are finished processing or want to let go of then burn it! Safely burn the paper outside in a metal bowl. Then sage yourself. Now, that you are clean from last year, get clear about what you want this year.
Grab your journal and write it. Be clear about your intentions and manifesting. When we ask, she provides. It comes in mysterious ways, so be specific about what you really want and how you want it to feel like. Visualize your wish to the Universe as if you already have it.
A vision board is a fun way to get creative with your manifesting and intention setting. Be careful what you put on that board! It may come true! I’m currently changing out the pictures on my vision board because we have been to Disney three times. Also, I’m decluttering some of the torn pages and making the whole vision board more streamlined and neater. As I do this, I have been decluttering my home too, which feels so good. (I have a friend named Kristy who is a professional organizer, therapist, and life coach. If you are FB friends with me, you may have seen the closet project she worked on through a Zoom call. You may check her out here at Keep It Light Now.)
Also, intention setting is something you can do throughout your day by how you take care of yourself. Like making yourself a warm cup of herbal tea to drink and placing your hands over the cup and infusing love into the cup with a few kind words to yourself.
This year I invite you to keep coming back to yourself and remind yourself to have fun. Below are some ways to meet up with me in-person or in Zoom. Blessings to you this year!
The Light Within
October is a magical time of year. The days here get cooler and darker, and it is the most perfect time to go in and reflect. To slow down and go in to find the answers. As I get wiser, I have noticed that I’m better at going in and directly towards source instead of outside of myself or away from Source (Spirit, God, Unconditional Love).
Don’t be afraid of the dark because in the darkness we light up the most. I urge you to enjoy the change of Seasons and the way that you experience them as a Human. To love the sound, smell, and sight of the leaves under your feet to ground you in this beautiful embodiment of you! Happy October!

We are One
We are One
By Sarah Rose Reilly
There was one and the one wanted to know itself, so it became the many. As we evolve, we are becoming more vast, different, and yes, the same. Our DNA is similar to each other. For example, when we compare the DNA of races there is a 99% similarity; therefore, there is on average a 99% match from person to person.
There is a lyric in a Beyonce song, “If you hurt me, you hurt yourself,” this is becoming more a reality as the melting pot simmers and blends and the seasons and spices that once made our cultures, colors, and boundaries of lands on a map blend and congeal to create a new meal. A meal of yes, many flavors but still one pot, one meal—The One.
The more I meditate and breathe rhythmically and fully from the diaphragm the more time I spend with oneness of Source, of love, of Krishna, Lakshmi, God (even God has so many names) that place that we all come from and eventually return to and then leave from again to learn more, if we so choose or need to have more experiences. This merging with Source during the quiet time before the sun rises and before the many in my house holder of a home, the pitter patter of little feet if you will, comes to life is a refuge. It is a way to plug my human back into the healing and unconditional love of the One, much like you plug your cell phone in at night to charge it.
I too charge myself in the morning with meditation and breath work, so I may remember where I came from. To remind myself of my inherent goodness and the love that has no conditions. That we are all made from the same star dust and matter and not just humans all beings, animals, rocks, flowers, and the dirt under our feet. It is all variations of Source. It is all variation of love frequencies.
This Source I plug into in meditation doesn’t care how much money you make, what type of car you drive, or what size Lululemons you can afford. She loves you just the same, not more or less, just the same no matter what your occupation, location, zip code, sexual identification, or pronoun choice—she loves you. That brings me to the opposite of love, which is lack or fear. When we are in a place of fear or a place of lack there is a void. In this void there are no possibilities, no melding of many flavors to create a beautiful meal of diversity, life itself is tasteless.
The One is still there but you can’t see her. She is there patiently, not judging even, waiting for you to return to the light of love and all the various colors, forms, shapes, sizes, and ways that she manifests herself to make this amazing Earth that we get to live on.
Loving the Inner-Child
So here I am again learning new ways and unpacking some old ways to self-soothe that inner-wounded child. “I love you,” I say to her in morning meditation. She needs to hear this. I need to hear those three little words too.
I wake, meditate, walk or run outside, yoga and play the ukulele. This self-care takes almost two hours. It seems excessive but it is the glue that is holding me together during these challenging and transformative times.
How do you show up for yourself? How do you love you? When was the last time you unraveled your Yoga Mat or did that thing that makes you feel good?
Happy New Year
Wishing you blessings as you start to navigate this year. I’m thankful for the hardships of 2020. They made me appreciate everything I have and am. I’m looking forward to healing around the world as we all rebuild again.
You may ask, what can I do? We can start with ourselves and care, nurture and love ourselves. When we love ourselves we have more time and resources for our Community. The most fundamental way to love yourself is your thoughts. Your thoughts become words and your words become your destiny.
“Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character,
It becomes your destiny.” by Lao Tzu
We are what we eat and what we consume are the thoughts and food that we take into our bodies/hearts/minds. Be good to you. Be gentle. Be Kind. Love yourself. Eat healthy whole foods that nourish and think loving, kind thoughts that are positive. Wishing you Abundance this New Year!
#Yogabeforeeverythingelseafter
Getting away is hard. I get it. The packing is more challenging than the getting there and the getting there is more exhausting than the getting settled. Takes up to two days some times to get back to the ‘new normal,’ and then the vacation can start.
Even still unplugging from phones and technology and plugging into the real stuff is important. Being in nature. Being with the people that matter. I have over 20 bug bites right now but who is counting. Okay maybe I am. My practice changes on vacation. I have to wake up before everyone else to meditate and unravel my yoga rug.
Up early to wake the day for a yoga and meditation practice. Why? A daily meditation and yoga practice is similar to the benefits of a vacation. The mind/body get out of the flight-or-flight mode and healing begins. Because you step away from the hustle of everyday life, the ability to breath deeper and more fully begins. See you on your seat, on your mat, or in the air soon. #yogabeforeeverythingelseafter.
Inspiration
Hello Summer! It is easy to find inspiration when the sun is shining and the chill in the air is less. On dark rainy days, she is still here. Inspiration is all around.
In our Hatha Yoga Practice we close our eyes and we go into the dark. From here we deepen the breath, the body expands from the most inner-body to the outer-body. Then we start to move. The movement releases tension and releases our happy hormones.
Teaching Yoga continues to teach me so much about humanity and how to be a human. It teaches me about people, how we fall down and get back up again, and how connected we all are to each other. There is so much Inspiration in our stories. The person next to you on their mat has an amazing, inspiring life story and so do you. Go live your abundant life and use all the colors of Summer to paint it! See you on the mat, seat or air soon!
Detox to Feel Good
Rather it be emotional or physical it is cathartic and it helps you feel good. Yoga, Meditation, and vigorous activities detox the body/mind. In our Yoga posture classes Classical Hatha to Power Yoga the twisting, forward folding, and back bending poses rinse out the body by compressing internal organs like the kidneys, liver, small and large intestines that all help in cleaning out toxins.
Meditation helps us to find space in a busy world. Often a mantra or mind tool is used like a word or phrase to focus the mind. So Hum means “I am that or I am part of the Great Divine.” In this mantra we recognize that we are part of the larger picture. Set your timer for five minutes from now, sit in a comfortable seat, on an inhale say “So,” on and exhale “Hum.” See you on the mat, seat or in the air soon!
Respect You, Respect Others, Hold the Space, Repeat
We say fancy words in Yoga Class like Pranayama, Chatarunga, Adho Mukha, and Namaste. Namaste is becoming more pop-culture. I ask my weekly Kid’s Class, “What does Namaste mean?” More and more of them are able to respond because we go over this every week.
We all need to be reminded to be respectful to each other. Namaste BTW means, in the words from my own daughter, “The light in me honors the light in you.” It is a way of saying hello, good-bye, and a way to pass-the-peace and honor both the humanity and spirit in each of us and celebrate our differences that make us unique gifts.
This week’s theme was the first fancy word listed above, Pranayama or Breath. Get comfy. Inhale and notice the pause before you exhale. Now exhale and notice the pause before your next inhale. Slow down the inhalations and exhalations. Even when we are doing the fun things that we love to do like yoga it is another thing to get to. This full breath helps create space in your body and mind.
I’ve seen it happen in class. A student comes in hurried from work, traffic and as soon as their mat hits the studio floor they take a deep breath and they begin to relax because they know what is coming. Hold that space for yourself too. See you in your seat, mat or in the air soon!
Creating Rituals in a World of Chaos: The Sacred Sound of AUM
A Yoga class, much like a well-designed story has a beginning, middle, and an end. In the beginning we set the Intention. An Intention is much like a prayer. You may ask for what you want for yourself. It could even be prosperity or more money, you may send healing energy to a person or group of people in need, you can simply say ‘thank you’ and bask in gratitude. Even if the Teacher has a theme planned you can set your own Intention—it is yours.
The sound vibrations from chanting helps to open the throat Chakra that we talked about in last week’s BLOG. What does AUM mean? There is even order associated to the meaning of the word AUM. A is the Alpha or the beginning. U is the sustenance, which all live beings are in. If you are reading this you are sustaining and radiating life. The M is the dissolution or end of something. The M is not bad. The end is never final because Hindu’s believe in reincarnation and that the body dies and the soul continues being born. Everything is cyclical just like the seasons.
AUM was first introduced to America on a grand scale at the original Woodstock in 1969 when it was chanted at this historical musical festival. I can only imagine how powerful that AUM sounded and felt like with over 400,000 people in attendance. In our yoga class we chant AUM to both seal in our Intention and to open to our truth. The ritual of the chant is grounding and prepares the yoga practitioner to tap into the vitality of the life affirming Yoga teachings.
Be the Change You Want To See-Gandhi

Doesn’t mean that you stop being you and you become someone new. It means that you make decisions to positively impact the world. It is a strong call to action. Don’t wait for someone else to lead. Be the leader in the cause that you care about.
In the ‘Bhagavad Gita’ Krishna called Arjuna to action,
In this World there are two main paths:
the yoga of understanding,
for contemplative men; and for men
who are active, the yoga of action.
If you see someone saying something that isn’t kind, create a boundary and inform the person that kindness is just as contagious as sour grapes (wine) and tastes much sweeter (like honey.) Wishing everyone a School Year of Kindness and Sweet Memories. Be kind, be positive, be you. See you in your seat, mat or in the air soon!
Gratitude Practice
Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam, eaque ipsa quae ab illo inventore veritatis et quasi architecto beatae.
We the people of the United States are a people that came from other lands because we were dissatisfied with the laws, lands, and lack of freedoms. This dissatisfaction is in our blood. The Natives of this land understood simplicity and gratitude.
A gratitude practice helps shift that $#%!. Many Yogis and non-Yogis see my yoga Malas or beaded necklace that is used to keep count of a mantra during meditation (Mantra is a mind tool or phrase to focus the mind during meditation, similar to a prayer) and they tell me my necklace is broken. The guru bead is the marker indicating that you have finished a rotation and on my necklace there is a small circular design under it to keep the guru bead in place.
Yes it is true, Yogis, non-Yogis, and strangers have told me that my necklace is broken and that the medallion or pendant that was there is gone. This has happened more than ten times. It isn’t their fault that they feel this way—this dissatisfaction for life is in their DNA.
My Malas isn’t broken. She is perfect just as she is. She never had or needed more than a guru bead. I’m grateful for her simplicity. When we practice the counting of our blessings and the good that we have like food, clean water, shelter we don’t need flashy medallions and shiny pendants. We are beautifully amazing and complete just as we are. YOU! You are perfect just as you are. See you in your seat, mat or in the air soon!
Clearing the Clutter
Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam, eaque.
Much like a sponge cleans the dish and the water rinses away the residue and leaves the plate clean. The inhale breath scrubs the cobwebs and the exhale breath rinses them away. That is the detoxification process of a Yoga practice. Breathe. A thought rises. You scrub on the inhale. Rinse away on the exhale. Be here. Begin again. This is the practice of Yoga. This is the practice of Meditation. It is simple. It is accessible to everyone.
Just like you clean out a junk draw in your kitchen. We all have one or five in our home. Clean it out for the new screwdriver and thing-a-ma-bobs. It is easier once things have been removed. The shoulders and hips store so much of the stress of a lifetime. The yoga releases the tension with postures and shapes. Space happens. There is more room for life. Begin again.
Unplugging to Plug In
Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium.
This is the time of year that people make plans to do it—Unplug from work and the everyday and put aside chores to connect in a natural setting outdoors! The euphoria you feel after vacation is amazing. How do you keep the natural, healthy high?
A physical and meditation practice both help. Twenty minutes in a seat or one hour on your mat lets your sympathetic nervous system take a break. What is the sympathetic nervous system? It is the system that is responsible for the fight or flight mode. It told our ancestors to run from predators so we are all able to be here today to read this Blog.
We need it to survive; however, we aren’t being chased anymore. Exhale and feel the ground under you. No one is chasing you, there is no hurry, be hear now, enjoy this human embodiment. Life is meant-to-be enjoyed; Yoga can help you to get to there. See you in your seat, mat or in the air soon!
Beginner's Mind
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.
Beginner’s Mind: Being in the Moment
The most important way we align in life and on our mat is with the breath. For many of us upon walking into our place of Yoga, we notice the breath deepens our shoulders relax and we haven’t even unraveled our mat yet. This is why we go to Yoga. (I have a daily home practice and still I attend classes at my studio and local studios once to two times a week. Always a student, but that is a different theme for another week.) Approaching the breath by simply noticing the sensation of the air at the tip of the nostrils and the expansion of the lungs brings the practitioner out of their mind and into their whole body—all the way down to the ends of the toes.
Which brings me to your feet. Your lovely, adorable, underappreciated feet! Walk on your mat. Do you notice a texture? Does your mat feel cool or hot to the touch? Spread the toes. With the right foot, press down from the big toe mound of your foot to the inner heel of the foot, then from the pinky toe mound to the outer heel. This helps lift the main arch of your foot. Notice the power you created from the ground up. Now do the same with the left foot.
There is so much more to explore with the beginner’s mind and this is exciting. There is so much to know and discover. When we take the time to go into the space on the mat and breath and feel we get to know ourselves better. We leave class and we notice the color of the grass is a deep rich, green. We are less likely to take life for granted and to hurry through. We savor the experience. We taste our food. We celebrate everyday
Communicating is Listening: The Vishuddha Chakra
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error.
Everything is in relationship to each other. Communication takes a listener for the speaker to be heard. The feminine Sakti (pronounced Shakti) power of the Goddess is present during the receptivity of a conversation. The ear to hear or the eyes to see is Sakti energy. The male energy of Siva (pronounced Shiva) is the orator. Therefore, for a conversation to be successful the Divine lovers, Siva and Sakti need to be present. Communication is a dance and both partners need to be present, for the music to be heard and the dance to be danced.
Another ingredient for the recipe of communication is an open Visuddha Chakras, which is the wheel of energy that encompasses the throat, ears, and yes the mouth. Vishuddha means “purification.” When your throat Chakras is open you can more easily find your words and you can take in the conversation coming at you. In our fast lives, often we are coming up with our reaction to the speaker in our mind and we aren’t able to hear the whole story that they are providing. Most of us need more Sakti energy in our communication. To do this focus on your breath while the speaker has the floor. Practice lengthening your inhales and exhales to keep your mind and body open and hospitable.
One of the ways that we open Vishuddha Chakra in a Hatha Yoga (physical practice of yoga) is to chant the word AUM or as you know it OM (we will get to the meaning of OM in another BLOG). The vibration of this deep tone helps to heal, purify doubt and fear. What is there to be afraid of? For many it is the simple acceptance that, "I am enough just as I am." To become more receptive and kind to yourself and accept you as you today—meditate on the color blue. The color turquoise—the color of the summer sky meeting the ocean; think of this color at your throat as you chant the word OM. Open to your own power as a co-creator in your life.
